Engagement session at downtown toms river


Una and I collaborated on her engagement session, which was inspired by her Pinterest board featuring vibrant, nighttime cityscapes. I was excited by the creative challenge this presented, as it was a departure from my usual work. After scouting locations, we decided on downtown Toms River to avoid traveling to more distant cities like New York or Philadelphia.


To keep the session authentic, I aimed for a natural, "date night" feel. We began at a 7-Eleven, and after a brief chat with the understanding cashier, we were able to capture some great shots inside. The low light of the night was perfect, as the city lights provided beautiful backlighting. For this session, I used a 35mm lens and a 50mm lens and was very pleased with the results. I'm already looking forward to my next nighttime session.
